Projektbeschreibung

Developing the neurosciences is one of the most important strategic goals at both Humboldt-University and Charité. The mission of Charité of preventing or curing disease and maintaining health by generating and translating research data into medical treatments and educational programs is complemented by the mission of Humboldt-University of producing state-of-the-art basic research. Charité and Humboldt-University run a substantial number of joint projects within the scope of the Excellence-Initiative (NeuroCure, Mind & Brain), ERC Grants, Research Training Groups and BMBF projects in the field. Establishing a joint new professorship “Cognitive Neuroscience of Aging and Memory” and appointing Dr. Roberto Cabeza to it, a scientist of outstanding international reputation, will allow for close collaborations with several strong partners in Berlin.
