Workshop "Doing Academia in a World in Crisis: Why and For Whom?"

The purpose of the symposium is to address why and for whom academics work in the current context of resurgent nationalisms, widening inequalities in wealth, and other forms of turmoil. The first day of the event will include a keynote panel of scholars. The panel will be open to the public, and a moderated discussion with the audience and formal reception will follow. On the second day of the event, a handful of academics - especially early-career scholars - will workshop current projects that address the conference themes and receive feedback from the keynote panelists and other participants.
