Deutschlandstipendium - Themenklassen

 

The Deutschlandstipendium-Themenklasse is a unique format that Humboldt University of Berlin (HU), which was developed in 2013. The Themenklasse are geared to the future concept of HU, which is under the guiding principle "education through science" and the promotion and development of the personalities of the scientists. The HU will offer its students outstanding teaching and the ability to do their own research projects.

In the Themenklasse 15 students from different disciplines work in an interdisciplinary topic. The students get to know the academic work
ing processes in research projects as well as to conduct research independently.

Since 2013 the Foundation of Humboldt University (Stiftung Humboldt-Universität) and the
Schering Foundation facilitate this Themenklassen.

 

Award


With the Deutschlandstipendium-Themenklassen the Humboldt University has been awarded as one of three universities for the best non-material support framework for the Germany Scholarship competition by the Donors' Association for German Science.

The order awarded prize money totaling 10,000 euros will be used to further develop the excellent support program for fellows.
