New International Master Programme “Arid Land Studies“

Apply for the summer term 2011 until 15 January 2011


The International Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Arid Land Studies forms part of the transatlantic study programme ATLANTIS and is jointly offered by the Texas Tech University (USA) and the two European partners, the University of Sheffield (UK) and the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Germany). The interdisciplinary programme broadly covers the fields of agricultural science, biology geography, geology, soil and water science and climate research.


Participating students are expected to graduate in two years. Following the first academic year at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, students will spend their second year at Texas Tech University. Furthermore students will participate in an eight-week internship at the University of Sheffield.


A selected number of qualified students will experience a fully funded second year abroad.


REQUIREMENTS
Admission requirements for the master's degree are a relevant professional qualification in the form of a university degree in the fields of life science, earth science, agricultural science and environmental science. Furthermore students require a good knowledge of the English language.
