Open positions in Affective Neuroscience and Emotion Modulation

The Affective Neuroscience and Emotion Modulation research group investigates neuromodulatory interventions in clinical and non-clinical settings. We take brain stimulation techniques, ERP, fMRI, genomic imaging to study the effect of physical and pharmacological interventions on depression and basic neuronal functions. Postdoc, PhD candidate, and study assistant positions are available immediately in the research group, which is located at the Department of Psychiatry (CBF, Charité) and the Cluster of Excellence "Languages of Emotion" (Freie Universität). Successful candidates will be member of the cluster of excellence "languages of emotion" and the department of psychiatry at Charité Berlin.

Clinical Emotion Modulation (staff position): The ideal postdoctoral candidate will have demonstrated expertise in neuropsychiatry and experience in brain stimulation techniques. He/she will be responsible for coordinating and performing studies with depressive patients, in particular with transcranial magnetic stimulation, deep brain stimulation, magnetic seizure therapy, direct current stimulation, electroconvulsive therapy, and vagal nerve stimulation. The position is eligible in particular for a MD specialized and interested in psychiatry.

Emotional Endophenotypes (DFG-funded): The PhD candidate should have a background in imaging genetics and experiences with affective neuroscience. He/she will be responsible for coordinating studies, which investigate emotional endophenotypes in multiple studies within the cluster of excellence "languages of emotion".

Emotional Endophenotypes (DFG-funded): The study nurse should have experiences with genetic studies, genetic imaging and/or data management. He/she will be responsible for data acquisition and data management in multiple studies that investigate emotional endophenotypes within the cluster of excellence "languages of emotion".
