The Humboldt-Stipendium of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin supports excellent students of all nationalities. In addition to academic performance, criteria such as the educational background, social and/or political commitment (e.g. in higher education policy, in religious communities or political organisations and the effort in the social environment) are taken into account as well.

With the Humboldt-Stipendium students studying for a State Exam, Bachelor's or Masters's degree receive financial support with 300 euros monthly for at least two semesters within the standard period of study. The Humboldt-Stipendium is split equally by the federal government and private sponsors such as corporations, foundations, associations and alumni.
