Interdisciplinary Centres (IZ)
Interdisciplinary Centres (IZ) serve as communication and cooperation networks for researchers. Their existence is limited in time and they serve to consolidate key research areas. To this end, they integrate Research Training Groups or Collaborative Research Centres into the university beyond existing structures.
Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin expects to announce new Interdisciplinary Centres in 2027. All information and documents on Interdisciplinary Centres can be found here. Link
The process is coordinated jointly by the Research Service Centre and the Planning and Control department.
