The legal review has revealed that parts of the resolution exceed the scope of the university’s policy mandate and contravene the statutory prohibition of discrimination. The President’s Executive Council has therefore repealed the relevant points.

Open Humboldt

The first Open Humboldt Award has been presented to Prof. Dr Petra Anders of the Department of Education Studies. The award recognises researchers at Humboldt-Universität who make academic topics accessible to a wider public.

Research

The German Research Foundation (DFG) has extended its funding for FAIRmat, the consortium of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) based at HU. In this phase, FAIRmat is placing greater emphasis on AI for data-driven science.

Research

Researchers at HU have developed a new method for trapping and controlling atoms. This has significantly improved the atoms’ ability to store quantum information – an important step forward for future quantum technologies.
