In cooperation with the Department of Sports Medicine at the Institute of Sports Science, the HU's University Health Management (HGM) is conducting an online survey on physical activity in teaching. Additional examination attempt after consultation

Previously, a failed module final examination (MFE) could generally be repeated twice. With the 22nd amendment to the ZSP-HU, the HU will implement the possibility, as included in the BerlHG with the last fundamental amendment, to take an additional attempt after participating in an examination consultation and exhausting all regular repetition attempts, effective since 21 January 2025. Before the last regular repetition attempt, the examination board will inform you about the consequences of a final failure of the examination and invite you to a consultation to discuss why the MFE was not passed and provide targeted assistance on how it could be passed in the next attempt. If you have any questions or problems, you can contact the examination office responsible for you.

Courses on sustainability & Studium Oecologicum

If you want to expand your knowledge of sustainability, you can easily find suitable courses in the "Courses on sustainability" folder on AGNES. Furthermore, the Sustainability Office offers you the opportunity to acquire both basic knowledge and application-oriented skills in the Studium Oecologicum and to reflect critically on the topic - and on top of that, you can have it all recognised for ten ECTS as an extra-disciplinary elective (ÜWP)!

International online seminars: Courses at Circle U. Open Campus

Circle U. runs international online seminars for Bachelor's and Master's students, which can be credited with 5 or 10 ECTS. The respective course programmes and all information on how to apply can be found on the Circle U. Open Campus website. If you have any questions about accreditation, please contact the person responsible at your faculty or institute.

Results of the student survey on AI in higher education

More than three quarters of the students surveyed already use AI in the context of their studies, with over 30% using it frequently or very frequently. These findings come from the student survey on AI in teaching and learning, conducted in summer 2024 as part of the KI-Campus 2.0 project at HU Berlin. The results will be used within the KI-Campus project and for the further development of teaching and learning at HU Berlin.

Open air in the courtyard: “La vida breve” will be performed in July

For the first time since 2002, the music department at HU is once again inviting audiences to an open-air production. On four summer evenings, the opera “La vida breve” by Manuel de Falla will be performed by members and alumni of the university. Against the atmospheric backdrop of the historic courtyard of the main building, Humboldt's Philharmonic Choir and Humboldt's Student Philharmonic Orchestra will transport the audience to Granada around 1900 – the setting for a passionate and tragic love story. The production deliberately dispenses with technical amplification.
Performance dates are 13, 15, 17 and 19 July. Start: 20:30 each evening. Access to the event is only possible via Dorotheenstraße. Please note: The event will take place even in unfavourable weather conditions. Therefore, please remember to wear rainproof clothing in case of emergency; in the interest of the other guests, however, umbrellas are not permitted. Tickets are available from Reservix and all known advance booking offices.
