Exceptions to the uni-assist process

Not all applicants with an international entrance qualification apply for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree programme via the uni-assist application portal.

 

I. The following persons with international admission authorisation may also apply via the online application portal of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin within the application deadlines:

  • International students who are currently enrolled at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (not Erasmus or exchange students).
  • Students who were regularly enrolled at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in the past (not Erasmus or exchange students).
  • Applicants who are applying for a master's degree programme and have completed their bachelor's degree at a German university. The application for the master's degree programme must be based on completion of this degree in Germany.
  • Applicants who are applying for a master's degree programme and are currently completing their bachelor's degree at a German university. The application for the master's degree programme must be based on completion of this degree in Germany.
  • Applicants who have obtained a European Baccalaureate and are applying for the first semester of an undergraduate degree programme (bachelor's degree, state examination).

II. Study programmes with individual (application) rules

Some master's degree programmes and cooperative study programmes at the master's level have special application requirements and application deadlines. If you are interested, you can obtain the necessary information about how to apply for master's degree programmes listed below directly from the programme coordinators in the faculties or at the universities that carry out the application process:
