Universitätsstraße 3b
After it was built in 1904, wealthy businessmen offered their goods for sale in this four-storey building with its impressive sandstone figures.
The building has been used by the university since 1936. The richly decorated staircase with its historical elevator gate still remains in place. In 1993, the brand-new Department of Social Sciences – founded during reunification – moved into the corner building.
