Studying with Disabilities

For applicants and students who are disabled the Disability Advisory Service provides information and support. Consultation is confidential and, upon request anonymous; we are subject to data protection.

How can the Disability Advisory Service be contacted? Please scroll down to see the various options listed.  

In urgent cases, please contact us via email under barrierefrei.studieren@hu-berlin.de, or by using the contact form.

We aim to respond to your email within three working days. Please note that we are currently experiencing an influx of queries, thus responses may take longer. Thank you in advance for your patience.

All consultation rooms are barrier-free and sessions can be held in English.

Online consultation via Zoom

By appointment only, Tuesdays from 1 to 3 p.m.

We do not offer group consultation. 

For an appointment, please send a query to barrierefrei.studieren@hu-berlin.de and briefly describe what you wish to talk about. You will then receive an appointment confirmation and the Zoom link for an individual session. 

Consultation via telephone

For minor queries call us on (030) 2093-70345 on Wednesdays between 11 am and 12 noon

Please note, this line is only active during this time. 

Please note, there will be no telefone consultation on August 14th, 2024.

Face-to-face consultation

By appointment only, usually on Wednesdays.

Please send your query to barrierefrei.studieren@hu-berlin.de and describe what you wish to talk about. You will then receive an appointment confirmation. The consultation location is the main building, Unter den Linden 6, 10099 Berlin.

All consultation rooms are barrier-free accessible.

E-mail consultation

Write us your request to barrierefrei.studieren@hu-berlin.de. We aim to respond to emails within 72 hours but this may take longer during busy periods.
