Project description

The goal of the network is the model-based development and prototypical implementation of a
multidimensional strategy for subject-specific and subject-connecting, digitization related and digitally
supported professional development of teachers for future-oriented STEM teaching. In Focus 1, digitizationrelated
professional development modules related to digitally supported teaching concepts are implemented
in cross-regional clusters on a research-based basis. In Focus 2, the potentials of digital innovation for the
implementation of professionalization measures are adaptively elaborated. Building on the expertise of the
consortium in knowledge transfer, in Focus 3 (a) ways of collaboration across the three stages of teacher
training will be reflected and optimized in exchange with state institutes and existing transfer networks, (b)
existing structures for cross-state dissemination of the resulting products will be further developed, and (c)
measures for the provision of policy relevant knowledge on the digitization-related competencies of
teachers will be taken.
