Project description

The goal of the project is to investigate connections to differential geometry, spectral theory and representation theory. We seek progress on some fundamental notions of geometry which are intricately related to special geometries and intend to make a well-funded contribution of modern diiferential geometry to recent developments in string theory. It is also aimed to establish connections to symplectic geometry. The geometric content of the heat kernel of operators associated to non-integrable geometries should be studied.
