Project description
The project Wireless City Berlin addresses applications of wireless technologies in urban spaces and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The research and development is aligned along six subprojects addressing (1) transfer of knowledge about wireless technologies and applications, (2) energy efficiency, (3) city marketing and trade, (4) web based services for enterprises, (5) RFID-screens, and (6) a SAAS-based collaboration infrastructure. A wide range of approaches builds the methodical bases for the work, including market analyses, acceptance studies, and constructive technology development. Partners in the project are the Beuth Hochschule für Technik Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Universität der Künste Berlin (UdK), Aucoteam GmbH (Aucoteam), Composed Services GmbH (CS), Digiate GmbH (Digiate), Electronic Business Forum eine Gesellschaft der Asperado GmbH (EBF), Fraunhofer Institut für Zuverlässigkeit und Mikrointegration (FhG IZM), Institute of Electronic Business e.V. (IEB), servtag GmbH (servtag), Spree Hybrid & Kommunikationstechnik GmbH (SHK), SRH Hochschule Berlin (SRH), and TelematicsPRO e.V. (TelematicsPRO).
