Dr Degelmann was honoured with the most important award for researchers in the early stages of their careers for outstanding achievements.

The psychologist researched how active predictions shape our vision.

Sarah Eaton from the Department of Asian and African Studies and Magdalena Waligórska from the Department of European Ethnology at Humboldt-Universität will receive funding totalling around four million euros from the European Research Council.

The European Commission is funding the European higher education alliance Circle U., of which Humboldt-Universität is a member, for four more years.
