Zur Person

Dr. Katarzyna Puzon ist Anthropologin und arbeitet an der Schnittstelle von Temporalität, Kulturerbe, Wissenschaft und Kunst. Sie hat ethnographische Feldforschung in Europa und dem Nahen Osten durchgeführt und wurde mit mehreren Forschungsstipendien ausgezeichnet. Sie hat Islam and Heritage in Europe: Pasts, Presents and Future Possibilities (mit Sharon Macdonald und Mirjam Shatanawi, Routledge, 2021) herausgegeben und engagiert sich in transdisziplinärer Forschung mit den Schwerpunkten Anthropologie der Zeit, kritische Erbeperspektiven sowie kollaborative und partizipative Praktiken. Ihre Arbeit verbindet rigorose Forschung mit kreativen Medien und interdisziplinären Ansätzen.

Als Senior Researcher im Projekt Towards Sonic Resocialisation, gefördert von dem Deutschen Zentrum Kulturgutverluste (Förderlinie: „Kultur- und Sammlungsgut aus kolonialen Kontexten“), untersucht sie das umstrittene Erbe von Klang und Wissenschaft, befasst sich mit der Restitution von Klangsammlungen und entwickelt innovative Ansätze für den Umgang mit der Bestände des Lautarchivs. Ihre aktuelle Arbeit baut auf ihrer Expertise in Heritage Studies und ihrer Forschung zu wissenschaftlichen Klangsammlungen auf.
